Do you love nails and want to bring the joy of beautiful nails to clients? Our Advanced Manicurist聽program aims to provide our students with the hands-on training, practical experience, and support it takes to become a skilled, professional manicurist.

This 300-clock hour program can be completed in 10 weeks. Many students eager to begin a career in beauty may find this an attractive path, without a more substantial upfront commitment in training.

Advanced Manicurist Program Overview

Our Advanced Manicurist program is geared toward individuals who would are specifically interested in nail technology. Despite the official program name, this program is suitable for those with no prior beauty experience.

Our comprehensive curriculum covers topics such as:

  • Nail structure and general anatomy
  • Basic manicure and pedicure techniques
  • Use of tools and equipment, such as electric filing; nail polish and color theory
  • Monomer and polymer enhancements, UV gel, and nail embellishments
  • Salon operations and management and career success skills, including sales training
  • State rules and procedures
  • Sanitation procedures and product safety
  • Advanced techniques and services, including specialized equipment

Graduates who complete our program are well-positioned to take and pass the Ohio State Cosmetology and Barber Board’s to become a licensed advanced manicurist.

Practical Business Management Skills

In addition to the art and science of nail care, this program is designed to teach all areas of being a salon manager such as hiring new employees, payroll, taxes, etc.

As a graduate you can enter the professional world with confidence knowing you have had the opportunity to learn both the technical training and practical business skills it takes to build a successful career, whether it’s as an employee or as your own boss!

After practicing and training on these different products, we are confident you’ll have experience to work with whatever nail tech products you come across in your new career.

Though many people may think just about becoming a nail tech in a salon, you could find yourself with different job titles and responsibilities in a new nail career. Here are some of the possibilities after nail school:

You may be practicing nail technology in many different settings, including a nail salon, day spa, resort, or with a beauty brand, such as a manufacturer of nail products.

Advanced Manicurist Program Schedules and Course Length

Our 300-hour Advanced Manicurist program can be completed in as little as 10 weeks. We offer multiple schedules to accommodate the varied needs of our students. Talk to our Admissions representative to find the best schedule for you:

  • Tuesday 鈥� Friday, 9 am 鈥� 3 pm, with 16 Saturday hours per month (complete in聽3 months)
  • Tuesday 鈥� Friday, 9 am 鈥� 4:30 pm, with 16 Saturday hours per month (complete in 2¾ months)
  • Tuesday 鈥� Friday, 9 am 鈥� 5 pm, with 16 Saturday hours per month (complete in聽2½ months)

New Advanced Manicurist classes start on the third Tuesday of each month.

A note about Saturday hours: If you complete more than 16 hours of Saturday attendance one month, the additional hours can roll over to the next month. For example, if you complete 20 hours of Saturday attendance in January, you will only need to complete 12 hours of Saturday attendance in February.

Manicuring is literally a聽hands-on聽field, and at Raphael’s School of Beauty we believe that鈥檚 how it should be taught.

As an Advanced Manicurist student, after your initial training, you鈥檒l work with real clients in our on-site nail salon, providing a wide range of services under the supportive guidance of an instructor.

All services are performed by students under the supervision of licensed professionals.

On your first day of class in the Advanced Manicurist program, you’ll receive your books, official Raphael’s student apron, and nametag. After just 50 clock hours of attendance in the program, you will become the proud owner of your Nail Tech student kit chock full of your new tools of the trade and CND nail care products!
